Distractions: Guard Your Focus

Can you control the terrorist activity? Can you control the politics or campaign activities? No, you can’t control these activities so stay FOCUSED and PRODUCE. There are so many things competing for our attention especially in the media, however, you are personally responsible for guarding your focus.

How do you guard your focus like it is a briefcase with a million dollars in it? You turn off the television and limit your activity on social media to time that you allow to grow your business or personally interact with those that are helping you toward your personal goals. When you wake make sure you review your schedule and do all in your power to not stray from it. Life is not cookie cutter and life happens, whether it be the school calling you telling your kids is sick and needs picked up or possibly that you car may not crank. No matter what life throws at you, make sure you are solution focused on how you can keep your schedule moving forward despite the obstacles.

The reality is that most of society will feed into the distractions and use them to avoid personal accountability and responsbilty to focus on producing solutions to change their own reality. This was evemore evident to me when I lived in my great home state of Alabama. Every September through November, the majority people of the state will get geared up for Alabama and Auburn football and use the entire season as a means of distraction/avoidance of changing their current situation. You can’t change that which you avoid, thus the viscious cycle continues. These are the same people who are worried about which the Presidential candidate will be elected.

See if you stay focused and produce you can become your own economy. You are your own rescue. It is irrelevant who is elected as President. It does not matter what activities, happy or not are going on in the world. Do you require being vigilant? Absolutely, safety first always. However, NEVER expend energy worrying about things you can’t change or control. Stay solution focused always as when you are solving problems, you have the ability to build your own economy.
