Do you have a desire to make a change in some area of your life? If honest, we all have specific areas in our lives where we slack or are not disciplined and would like to change. There is a huge difference in being committed versus interested in changing and this is why humans will identify areas where we need to improve, but never make the change.
Being interested is where you identify an area of improvement, but then take no action. This area just does not take priotrity or possibly doesn’t distrupt your standard of living. Being committed is where you will not be denied. You identify your area for improvement, set a goal, then are unstoppable, persisting until you have met that goal.
There a few things in life that are required to be committed. First, you have to make a decision to change. Second, you have to set measurable goals around this change. Third, you have to implement the daily habits to help you reach your change goal. My good friend and mentor, Jeffrey Combs, always stated that you will not out succeed your habits. Your daily method of operation and habits will predict your success.
What does your daily method of operations look like? I can tell you that mine this summer has been a bit off kilter, but not disruptive. I have a day planned this Friday for the entire family to re-think and adjust our dream boards, set goals individually and as a family on how we plan to finish this year and our 5 year look ahead. My kids know that they can sleep in during the Summer up until two weeks before school starts then the schedule begins again.
This is called concious decision making, when you get into action performing your daily habits and your schedule, then your brain will go work creating new neural networks and patterns which becomes the new changed you. We re-program our subconcious or what I like to call our brain’s operating software via getting into ACTION. Make the committment in those lacking areas of your life…be the best YOU that you can be for the world. Here’s your 2016 transformation.
