Are You Building Memories?

If you are experiencing life, then you should have photos books and memories to prove it. Life is about experiences…the impact we have on our families, friends, and co-workers is where we leave our mark. Are you living or are you busy making a living?

We are dispendable when it comes to our jobs and careers. Don’t get so busy making a living that you don’t make a life. The older I get the more I realize that living is about being present, how you give yourself to others, how you impact someone else’s life…it totally isn’t about things, titles, etc. Things perish, but the love we give, the improvement we bring to others lives is what you call a legacy. What value are you adding to all those you love and care about?

I sit here typing this to you to say I sit here with regret. I lost a sweet friend and I told our Cali girl group for three years in a row that I could not make myself available for the Vegas weekend trip…now I regret not going and making time to make those memories with them. See, even I get so busy that I forget to build that life as well. These messages are a preaching to myself first, then you the audience in hopes that I promise all my readers that I am preaching to myself first. May you heed my advise as to prevent you from looking back wishing you had a do over.

We only get one life…it is short. Time marches on with or without you. None of us know how many days we are going to be on this earth and we all get caught up in “tomorrow”. Make your entire life a photograph, a beautiful legacy. Here’s to more living, laughing, and loving. Here’s to now and the making of beautiful memories.
