The Prison of the Mind


Many people are prisoners within their own minds. Your thoughts shape your feelings and your feelings shape your emotions and your emotions shape your decisions and your decisions shape your life. Your inner voice is your biggest critic and it can sabotage you if you do not become aware of it and learn to silence it. You have to learn to let go of low vibrational emotions such as guilt, shame, anger, disappointment and etc.

Here is a quote that I love from my dear mentor and friend, "Holding onto guilt represses your feelings about the events that that keep emotionally addicted to the cause that creates the effects of your feelings. Separating your feeling from the events that shape your identity liberates you and allows you to no longer be the mind body connection to the events that shape your beliefs".- Jeffrey Combs. Most of society are addicts…addicts to their own emotionsand the chemicals that are released everytime we have those emotions. Emotional Intelligence (EQ) will make or break you in all aspects of your life and it will still your freedom and your abundance.

Most people go around talking about having bad days. Seriously, like an entire day is bad. Anytime someone tells me they are having a bad day, the one thing I like to do is attempt to help people break their pattern. I tell people all the time you can have wall kicking or bad moments, but not bad days. So I get them to walk me chronologically through their entire day. What you will discover is that once the bad moment occured that they developed an attitude and they carried this attitude with them throughout the rest of the day. Sometimes other events would happen and I show them that if they changed their vibrational energy, then they change the events or at least their attitude within each event. This requires practice and acting intentionally.

Reality is that your thoughts become things. You attract who and what you into your life. This is where the old cliche birds of a feather flock together came from in the past. Your subconcious’ whole job is to keep you comfortable and safe and it defines your comfort zone by the vibrational energies it has been fed all these years and possibly even learned growing up. The good news is that you are in control of your energies and you get to choose them and if you have lived with low vibrational energy most of your life, then you can unlearn these by practicing have an attitude of gratitude and acting in different ways and showing up in love and with light. This is the key to being freed from the prison called your own mind.
