Finding Joy Amidst and Beyond Life's Storms

Storms have always been a part of people's lives hypothetically speaking. You never really know what people have been or are going through in their life. One thing for sure is that if we live and love we will all experience loss which will put you in your own storm. Our job through any storm is learning to not let Satan steal your joy in and for life. There are no replacements for some of the voids left in our lives, but you can make a conscious effort to preserve your loved ones legacy and press onward to win a victory for mankind. In another words, get busy and get to serving because you never lack resolve when you are on a mission to serve others. Share your story with others as it will heal you and the one who is currently experiencing a similar storm. Likewise, don't suffer in silence as there is someone who understands what you are going through. Reach out or find a support group or someone you know who you can confide in and will listen. It is important to remember that Satan's power is limited & he is an opportunist. He will attempt to capitalize when obstacles or difficult life events occur. He can't cause us to do anything, but he can influence us. Keep yourself around people who love and encourage you during the times of storms. Draw closer to God and feast on His word and trust Him to bring you through anything. If you are a Christian, you have to be steadfast in the faith. As the late Rhonda Jones said to her husband the day she received her gloom diagnosis of terminal, metastatic cancer and prognosis with less than 3 months to live, "if our faith can't sustain us in a time like this, then we have been living a lie". Hard times test our faith, but win a victory for mankind by walking your talk. Christ won the victory over sin and Satan so we can find joy in going to Heaven. Christians never lose as we are in Christ and our God always keeps His promises and even if our time on earth is short we have to remember our ultimate goal which is to get to Heaven and spend an eternity with our Savior. Lastly, use the powerful tool called prayer. Ask God to restore your joy, to give you the strength to smile, to keep a great attitude, and believe that God knows what you require and that He will provide. Here's to you always choosing joy and making it through any storm that comes your way.
