No matter what your health status or illness you are battling, you can take back your life as long as nutrition is the fundamnetal starting point. This Tuesday's Transformation shout out goes to Renee as she is rocking her nutritional cleansing program. In her own words, "20% fitness and 80% nutrition! I had this backwards for years!! Nutritional cleansing attacks health restoration by removing toxins, decreasing your body's response to stress, correcting nutritional deficienies both mico and macro, improves your sleep, and as your body begins to heal itself people find their life energy and add exercise. It addresses toxicity by giving you a shower on the inside and cleanses your cells, your blood, lymph, and organs. It addresses stress by managing the stress hormone, cortisol. It corrects the nutritonal deficiencies as it prepares your body so it can absorb the right balance of macro and micro nutrients. And it improves the quality of your sleep. Your body is a God given miracle and if you fuel it appropriately it will go to work being the miracle He created it to be. Everytime you go to make a food choice, ask yourself is this fueling my body or is it inflamming my body and this will keep you accountable to your God given temple. It is ok to treat yourself on a nutritional program because you have the luxury of using the cleanse so take time to celebrate with ice cream, cake, or your favorite not so good food items occasionally.
Remember that you do not have to be restrictive so take your favorite recipes and use cleaner ingredients. I still bake cookies and brownies for my girls and I use healthier choices like organic avocados, cocoa, and coconut sugar for the brownie recipe and I subtitute coconut flour and coconut sugar for the chocolate chip cookies. Healthy is a lifestyle and should never be overwhelming, time consuming or complicated so reach out to people that can assist you in taking back your health.
