Healthy people possess levels of brain chemicals that lie within certain normal ranges. When internal or external factors either deplete the brain of these chemicals or stimulate it to produce excess amounts, a chemical imbalance occurs. I have a theory. What if people stopped, CEASED, eliminated eating "things" with known neurotoxins in them? I write "things" because the majority of people are not eating REAL food. Food that nourishes the body doesn't have pesticides and other neurotoxins as an ingredient. If you're not consciously eating clean, then you are eating these neurotoxins every time you open your mouth. You wouldn't give a diabetic a box of donuts; you wouldn't give a lung cancer survivor a cigarette. Why would you give someone with a chemical imbalance neurotoxins to ingest? A diabetic won't eat a donut if they want to remain well; a lung cancer survivor often thinks twice before smoking a cigarette. Shouldn't it stand to reason that someone with a chemical imbalance would make the choice NOT to eat food with neurotoxins in them? Know what you're eating; take time and investigate the toxins that are in the "foods" you eat and feed to your family. In time, after eliminating these poisons from your diet, and giving your body time to heal, see how you feel. Eating clean may not be the cure for all chemical imbalances, but it is a smart start.
